Houston really does have fall. Just don’t blink or you’ll miss it.

Sometimes I think people think single-life is just fun and games and traveling with friends. And sometimes it is that but sometimes it’s also hard—you have to do a lot of things alone that you never really thought about having to do. But this dear friend just sat in the urgent care with me for an hour and a half. And not having to sit alone tonight was a gift. And I’m grateful. (Also, special shout-out to @amoseleymo and @bethany_callaway for being our on-call consultants. 💗)

And yes, I’m fine. Just a bad case of strep apparently. 🙄🙄

When my class is in choir, this is my view. A darkened sanctuary. Quiet. Alone. But I’ve never even noticed the holiness until today. How quick we are to rush past moments He means for us to rest in. I don’t want to miss Him today. I don’t want you to miss Him. And here’s the real kicker—ours is a good God who doesn’t want us to miss Him either!

Just in case you need the reminder too... THIS (whatever your “this” is) can turn out for your deliverance. But only in the hands of a Great Big God. And here’s the best news—we don’t have to figure it all out. No one on this earth has delivered herself. God does it. He delivers. Even in THIS. •••
I’m starting to think that part of the reason it’s best to kneel is because it’s just so much harder to run ahead of Him that way. We want OUT of this. And He is frustratingly committed to seeing us THROUGH this.
